This site was created out of necessity.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I found myself in desperate need of photos of mastectomy results and different types of reconstruction results and the reasons why people chose the routes they chose. I needed this information to help me make my own decisions.
What I found were only photos, no stories of the women in the photos told by the women themselves. I didn't care what the plastic surgeon thought of the results!
Were they happy with the result?
What would they have done differently?
What wisdom would they share with me if that photo could speak?
Why had people chosen:
I created this site in order to form a central place where people could get these kinds of answers and insight and other bits of helpful information and inspiration directly from breast cancer survivors themselves.
